VOLUNTEERS AGES 18 AND BETTER ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!
It takes over 150 people to successfully run the Goodfellows program each year. If you would like to be a part of the Goodfellows effort, just add your name and email address to our Volunteers ListServ on the left-side menu under Subscribe (follow the green arrow). We'll keep you posted on upcoming activities and volunteer opportunities. Children under the age of 18 who would like to be involved with the Goodfellows should contact the Junior Optimist Club at their school. For more information about Junior Optimist programs, visit www.f2hjunioroptimists.org.
- Elves are people who help in the warehouse between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We sort food, toys and books, check expiration dates, and handcraft individual gift and food boxes for each child, family or senior receiving assistance. Must be 18 or older. Monday - Friday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm starting on Monday November 30, 2015 - Friday December 18, 2015.
- Reindeer are people who help out on delivery day, Saturday morning, December 19, 2015. We meet at the warehouse at 9:00 am, and load cars and make deliveries to hundreds of children, families and seniors in Farmington and Farmington Hills. We always finish before noon.
- Goodfellows work from September through January to make this program a success. Some Goodfellows also volunteer at Neighborhood House Food Pantry throughout the year. If you would like to volunteer your time, and give back to the community, we've got an opening for you!
- Mrs. Claus Staff are high school students or better with neat handwriting to help write thank you notes to donors on the morning of Delivery Day Saturday December 19, 2015 (9:00 am till finished) at the offices of the Goodfellows warehouse.
